I remember one of my friends keep telling me to visit Bangkok. When he used to send pictures of gleaming Buddha statutes in temples, colorful streets of Bangkok, lit up malls, and sandy white beaches, I used to tell myself: ?Bangkok, here I come.?
It is the place of opposites. On one hand you will come across the chaotic traffic and on the other hand, there are Buddhist temples to put your mind at peace and lift you to the spiritual level.
If you go to Bangkok, you must visit the shopping malls, that is what my friend used to keep saying repeatedly. He was so enamored by the malls that he said nowhere had he seen such diverse collection of modern and colorful products. You can even pamper your taste buds by trying out the food stalls located at the shopping malls. All kinds of cuisines are available and such is the range that it can boggle your mind for hours and hours.
Another shopping malls that is a recommended is located on the Rama I and Phayathai road. It is called Mah Boon Krong and is seven-storeyed. The fifth floor is totally dedicated to food and is called the Fifth Avenue. It has a beautiful ambience with comfortable leather seats, architectural fittings that are tastefully designed, dim lighting, and sparkling clean restrooms. There is a live band playing soft gentle music in the background.
Other shopping malls that are worth a visit in Bangkok are the Siam Paragon Complex and the Platinum Mall on Petchburi road. Apart from exotic stores, there is a very cheap food hall. If you have a sweet tooth, then you will enjoy visiting the Siam Paragon. If you go to the basement of this complex, you will come across an exotic range of desserts. It has such a range that it will be a tough decision to choose any one of item.
So whether you go to the malls, shopping outlets, or food stalls, you will always feel that sense of satisfaction of tasting something good or doing something good.
