Here on the beautiful island of Phuket in Thailand, there are a great number of mixed Thai-Western marriages. It really is turning into quite a phenomenon. Around Phuket's schools and playgrounds it is common to see mixed-race children happily playing with the 100% Thai kids. They are usually easy to spot with fairer skin, western features and non-black hair. A whole generation of culturally diverse, multi-lingual children is growing up and will soon be quite an asset to Phuket's tourist industry.

This phenomenon of mixed marriages in Phuket has really exploded over the last decade. Of course, the major reason is the expansion of Phuket's tourist trade. When you have more than a million western visitors a year, it is natural that some of them will meet and fall in love with local people. Especially when the local people are so appealing.

But there must be more to it than that. The tourist resorts around the Mediterranean, Caribbean and US also receive millions of foreign visitors a year. There are mixed-nationality marriages at these resorts but not thousands in a small area like there are in Phuket.

One thing stands out when you look at Phuket's ex-pat population - the vast majority of us are men. Probably around 90% of the ex-pat population is male. That is not the case when you look at the breakdown of tourist visitors where the split is only 60-40 in favour of males.

So while there are many women visiting Thailand, only a small percentage of them decide to settle here. It is probably a similar percentage to those that settle at other holiday resorts. But the men are marrying Thai women and settling here in numbers that way exceed what is typical elsewhere. There is an obvious conclusion to draw. There are a lot of men coming to Phuket to actively seek wives. They are not just falling in love while on holiday - they are coming with the pre-planned intent of finding a doe-eyed Thai beauty to be their spouse.

Many men seem to be dissatisfied with their experiences of women in their home country. Society has changed rapidly in the west over the last few decades. Women have become more confident and assertive. They can be intimidating to approach and fast with a withering put-down. They are much more demanding in their relationships and expect a lot of concessions from their partners. Many men do not like it. They still want the fifties ideal of a feminine, doting wife.

So they come to Thailand in search of the answer to their problem. Here, they believe they can still find women who are beautiful, feminine and attentive to their husband's needs.

It is dangerous to generalise too much about the men who marry Thai girls and settle in Phuket. They all have their own story. Just the same, there are common patterns. You can place a lot of these men into three broad groups:

Group 1. There are those that come to Phuket for 'normal' reasons such as work or a break from work. It is natural that some of these people will meet and fall in love with locals. This happens all over the world. There is no doubt that Thai women are very charming so perhaps it is more common here than elsewhere.

Group 2. Then there are those who fall in love with their bargirl. The girls who work in the sex industry are good at selling themselves it is their job. It is not usually the hardened sex-tourists that fall in love with their quick squeeze. They tend to pick up a new girl every night with no emotional attachment. It is the new guys. The men who come to Phuket for the first time, not quite knowing what to expect. They probably have an idea that they are going to pick up a prostitute but they don't know how it works. They end up doing the GFE (girl friend experience). That is picking up a bar girl and then keeping her for the entire length of the holiday. They act as if they are boyfriend-girlfriend. The girl gets plenty of time to weave her magic. She tugs the guy's heartstrings with her life story until he is brimming with sympathy. She gives him lots of affection and by the end of his holiday, he is in love.

Group 3. Then there are those who come with the pre-planned intent of finding a wife. They have thought about it and come to the reasoned conclusion that a Thai wife would make their life better. Some of these guys will look for their new wife around the sex venues of Patong. Others want to stay away from the sex industry girls. They may try dating agencies or internet matching services. Some of them will try to meet 'good' Thai women away from the tourist resorts. Their approaches may vary but the conclusion is the same - they think a life in Phuket with a Thai wife would be better than their current life back home.

Whatever the reasons, the mixed Thai-Western marriage is now an established part of Phuket's scenery. Not all of these Western men find their dream wife. Many of these marriages run into problems but that is true of marriages the world over. There can be extra problems related to marriages between people from different cultures. Still a lot of western men are very happy with their choice.

Michigan is one of the absolute hardest states to find a job in. In fact, many areas in the United States have a surplus of qualified teachers and very, very few open positions to fill.

Why? It's the economy. The manufacturing jobs that were once the staple of the northeastern economy are going bankrupt and/or relocating in other countries, where labor is cheaper. (You can thank NAFTA for the job losses.) As high-paying jobs leave the state, young people with families leave to areas with stronger economies. Schools, therefore, need fewer teachers because there are fewer students.

The population in Michigan isn't growing much (if at all). The economy is dead. The state is getting less tax money as companies and people leave the state. And, yet, Michigan still has high-quality teacher colleges that pump out hundreds of candidates each year. The result: Lots of excellent teacher candidates in a location with no available jobs.

This trend isn't unique to Michigan. Similar teacher job markets exist throughout the northeastern United States, in places such as Upstate New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Ohio.

So, if you're in one of these tough job markets, what should you do? If moving is a possibility for you, consider relocating to places with stronger economies and booming populations like: Las Vegas, Arizona, Carolina, Colorado, and Florida.

If moving is not an option for you, you can still get a job you just have to work REALLY hard to market yourself. Schools still need SOME new teachers, though certainly not enough to seriously decrease the huge supply. In order to land a job, you'll have to market yourself so well that you stand out as one of the top 2% of teaching candidates.

Suggestions:

1. After you've formally applied for a job through a district's human resources office, send a paper copy of your resume and a letter of interest to the PRINCIPAL of the school you want to work at. HR offices typically forward 10-20% of the candidates to principals and ignore the other 80%. Since principals usually have direct control over hiring, you need to make direct contact with them. If a principal is impressed with your qualifications, he/she can easily arrange an interview.

2. Teaching jobs advertised in newspapers and on the Internet typically have TONS of candidates applying. Your best bet– call schools directly and ask if they'll be hiring in the near future. Most jobs aren't advertised heavily (because they already have lots of candidates). The jobs that ARE advertised heavily will have way too many qualified candidates — which decreases your chance of getting the job. So, use the phone book to find those unadvertised jobs.

3. Be sure your cover letter is so good they won't pass you up. Do something to make it stand out– color letterhead, bold faced key words, bulleted lists– something. Have a great introduction sentence that catches their interest. If you're not a great cover letter/resume designer, have it done professionally.

4. Practice common interview questions beforehand. Typically similar questions are asked at all teacher interviews. If you practice beforehand and think about what you'll say, the questions will seem routine and familiar.

Best of luck to you in your job search!

Before the Job Fair:

Find out what businesses will be there. The more information you can gather beforehand, the more successful the job fair is going to be for you. Find out what businesses are going to be at the job fair, and spend some time doing some research about them. What types of jobs do they have? What kind of people are they looking for? What kinds of skills do these people need to have? Shortlist the organisations you want to talk with.

Decide on your objective. Are you going with a specific aim or just to mooch around? Once you are clear on why you are going it will help with preparation, both mentally and how you present yourself.

Develop some questions you'd like to ask employers. Narrow down your list of businesses to include those who have jobs you are interested in, or are businesses you think you might like to work for. Then list some questions you would like to ask the company representative at the job fair.

Proofread your CV - at least twice. If you don't already have one, it is a good idea to put a CV together for a job fair. It gives employers a blueprint of your skills and something tangible to remember you by. Be sure to proof read your CV before the job fair to find any spelling or grammatical mistakes. Even if you think there are no errors, have someone else look it over too. Don't let errors overshadow your qualifications for a job! Take several professional quality copies with you.

Be sure your CV contains your updated contact information. You'll want employers to be able to reach you if necessary. Double check that your address, phone number, and e-mail address is current.

At the Job Fair:

Dress the part. As with a job interview, first impressions at a job fair are important. How you represent yourself sends an immediate message to employers about how serious you are in your job search. It isn't always necessary to wear a suit to a job fair - unless you are looking for a job that would require you to dress professionally at work. However, you should leave the jeans and t-shirts at home. “Business Casual” is usually the most appropriate at a job fair such as nice trousers and a collared shirt for men and nice trousers or a skirt and a blouse for women are appropriate. Make sure your clothes are clean and pressed. Avoid wearing excessive jewellery or clothing that is too short or revealing. Take a briefcase or folder. This will contain a pen and paper to take notes, and copies of your CV to hand over to employers.

Take time to talk to employers. Don't just drop off a CV and move to the next booth. Take time to get additional information and make an impression. The point is not to see how many CVs you can give to employers in the least amount of time - it is to establish some solid job prospects. Also, try to avoid approaching employers when they are crowded by a large group of jobseekers. Approaching a crowded stand makes it difficult for employers to answer your individual questions, and they are less likely to remember you when they return to their offices.

Use your research to appear confident and knowledgeable. If you have done research before the job fair, you won't have to ask the question, “What does your company do?” If you have to ask, you are wasting valuable time. Instead, you could be asking questions about the job or department you are interested in. It works to your advantage if you can tell employers how your skills match what they are looking for. Employers want to hire people who are genuinely interested in their company. Do your homework!

Have a firm handshake and maintain eye contact. Let employers know how serious you are. Greet the employer with a firm dry handshake, and maintain eye contact throughout your conversation. Showing interest and good manners is important, regardless of the type of job you are looking for. Every employer appreciates someone who is dedicated, conscientious, and attentive.

Do not monopolize an employers time. Make contact and offer to follow up after the event. Make sure to get a business card so you have contact details.

After the Job Fair:

Follow up with a thank you note. Experts agree that follow-up is an important part of attending a job fair. If you picked up a business card, or the name of the company's job fair representative, send a thank you note a day or two after the job fair. This is not only polite, but will also let the representative know you paid attention, are serious about the job, and that you are the right person for it.

Enjoy being proactive in your job search!

For the past few years, we have seen an explosion of people choosing Dish Network over cable TV. Dish Network had such a high level of success in marketing their product and it had now become a popular household name in United States. It is no surprise that we are seeing mounting number of Dish Network satellite dish in our neighborhood.

However, despite the success of Dish Network marketing campaign, there are still a lot of confusing satellite TV shoppers wandering around Internet and looking for more consumer info on Dish Network deals. To help up on the situation, here are the answers for some common questions raised among Dish Network shoppers.

Free Dish Network deals - are they for real?

Yes, Dish Network free deals are for real. But do not misunderstand that Dish Network services are for free totally. You still need to pay for your Dish Network TV service fee monthly. What the free deal means is that you get free Dish Network satellite TV system (aka, satellite signal decoder, satellite dish, and decoder remote control).

The free Dish Network deals do come with conditions. To qualify for the free deals, you must be a first time customer for Dish Network and you must be willing to commit a one-year subscribe contracts with the Dish Network dealers.

You might wonder why credit card info is needed during ordering Dish Network since it's a free deals.

The credit card info is needed because of Dish Network dealers need to charge $49.99 on the card as up front deposits. As it is a free deal, Dish Network will then credit back the deposit money into your first month bill thus the whole start-up process requires zero dollar from your pocket.

DirecTV or Dish Network?

Without a surprise, satellite TV shoppers are always comparing the deals offered by Dish Network and DirecTV. Interestingly, the satellite system services offered by both DirecTV and Dish Network are practically the same. Both Dish Network and DirecTV offer more than 200 program channels, integrated digital video recording (DVR) capabilities, and high definition TV (HDTV) capabilities, stunning picture and sound quality and award-winning 24-hour customer service departments. What separate these two main satellites broadcaster is that DirecTV monthly subscription fees are slightly higher but with more sports (football!) coverage while Dish Network packages are basically cheaper and they covers more on International programming channels.

The question of Dish Network or DirecTV has no fix answer. Dish Network might be the best for some family while for others, DirecTV is the best. Our best advice is that satellite TV shoppers should get the satellite TV that suits you the best. If you are willing to pay more for the football live, go for DirecTV If you wish to save more on your monthly budget and watch more Internation channels, get Dish Network.

Who should I order my Dish Network from?

The quality of your Dish Network deals depends highly on the dealer you take order with. Dish Network deals can be a saving bargain if you get a good dealer but in the same time it might be a nightmare if you get into a wrong dealer.

Unfortunately, with any hot product on the Internet come the scammers. As shopper, it is important to know that not all Dish Network dealer's offers are the same. Thus review and study on more than one Dish Network dealers is necessary. Different Dish Network dealers offer totally different promotion sometimes and to assure you get the best Dish Network deals, you must get a reputable dealer. When considering the dealer quality, things to be considered are like the dealer's customer feedback (any bad comments?), authorization (is the dealer authorized by Dish Network?), any hidden fees (make sure price listed is net price), reliable (in business for long enough?), any customer support (live call? Online support?), any cash back policy, and so on.

It is easy to differentiate a good dealer and a bad one when you can unmask their sugar-coated promotion flyers. Some detail reviews of Dish Network dealers can be found at here:

A tour of the National Museum in Bangkok, which traces the early Thai civilizations in the region and the history of subsequent kingdoms, is like taking a stroll through the corridors of time. The short tour gives the visitor an overview of more than a millennium of history of the kingdom.

Our tour starts with the origin of early Thai civilizations in the first section in the National Museum. There's evidence of civilizations dating back to the early Stone Age from relics discovered in Lampang and Mae Hong Son in northern Thailand and Krabi to the south.

Civilizations existing around 3,600 BC were discovered in Ban Chiang, Udorn Thani in northeast Thailand as well as Kanchanaburi and Chonburi. There are conflicting theories as to where the early immigrants came from. However, there's sufficient evidence to show that there were civilizations in the area for more than 1,000 years.

The next section in the National Museum covers the 7th ? 13th centuries when the Khmer empire, based in what is now Cambodia, was at the height of its power. The influence of Khmer culture covered the northeastern region of Thailand and extended all the way to Lopburi in central Thailand.

Historical sites like Phanom Rung in Buriram and Phimai in Nakhon Ratchasima are testimony to this influence.

The 13th century saw the rise of the Sukhothai kingdom. The kingdom reached its pinnacle under the reign of King Ram Khamhaeng from 1279 ? 1298 AD. Sukhothai not only grew in political and military stature, it was renowned for its art, architecture and culture. It was King Ram Khamhaeng who started the Thai alphabet.

The Ayutthaya section in the National Museum is the most substantial. Founded by King U-Thong in 1351, Ayutthaya was a city bounded by three rivers, the Chao Phraya, Lopburi and Pasak. It grew rapidly and soon eclipsed Sukhothai and the other kingdoms.

At the height of its influence, Ayutthaya was a major commercial center with three main palaces within a walled city with its network of roads and canals and protected by 16 forts. Trade with China, Portugal, the Netherlands and Japan flourished.

Ayutthaya was captured and sacked by Burma in 1569. The city was revived in 1584 by King Naresuan. Unfortunately it was overrun again and completely destroyed by the Burmese in 1767. Built up over four centuries, Ayutthaya with its 34 kings from five dynasties crashed to an abrupt and tragic end.

It was left to Phraya Taksin, son of a Chinese immigrant, who escaped the destruction of Ayutthaya to reestablish a new capital in Thonburi. In a series of campaigns he drove the Burmese out of Thailand and reunited the various kingdoms.

The grand finale in the tour of the National Museum covers the Chakri dynasty started by King Rama I in 1782 when he established Bangkok as the new capital to restore the former glory of Ayutthaya.

It was the dawn of a new era, Rattanakosin. After a massive Burmese onslaught was repelled, they were never a serious threat again. The prospect of a united Thailand with secure borders became a reality. Under the reign of the Chakri Kings, the next 200 years, saw the gradual emergence of a modern Thailand.

The National Museum in Bangkok captures more than a millennium of history of the early Thai civilizations, the rise and fall of the various kingdoms and dynasties to the present. It encapsulates the cultural ballast and very soul of the Thai nation.

For more on King Taksin of Thonburi visit the National Museum when you Tour Bangkok Legacies and stroll through the corridors of history. The author Eric Lim, a free-lance writer, lives in Bangkok Thailand.

Does this sound like you?

* You're spending way too much time trying to network online and are on networking overload.

* You're trying to keep up with all the threads that relate to your business in all the social networking groups you've joined.

* You're also monitoring all the discussion lists you're on looking for an opportunity to jump in and share your pearls of wisdom with the others on the list.

* You're afraid to keep track of the hours you spend in online networking because whatever the number is, it's way too high.

* You've just gotten an invitation to join yet another social networking group and while you're very flattered, you realize if you join one more group in an effort to network your way to a full client roster, you won't need any new clients because you'll be out of business

* You're spending so much time trying to master online networking that you've totally neglected the face-to-face networking that has been working for millions of people for centuries. (Come on, how do you think people built their businesses before the Internet came along?)

I mean, seriously, how much time can you afford to take away from your work to keep current on all the goings on in all the online networking groups you belong to without your business starting to spiral downward?

There is a solution to all this online networking mania and it's very simple: Cut back on your online networking and up your offline networking. See? I told you it was simple!

Yes, I know, you don't have time to get in the car, travel to an event, and spend a couple of hours with people you don't know and will probably never see again, right?

You've been to lots of networking mixers and it never seemed to work for you. You're shy and you don't want to appear pushy.

Any of this sound familiar? I'm not surprised I've heard it all a million times.

If that's what you've been thinking, you may not understand what networking really is and how it works, and trust me, you're not alone in this. I have found that the biggest misconception about “networking” is that people think the term is synonymous with going to formal networking events.

That couldn't be any further from the truth. Networking starts by forming relationships with people, getting to know them and understanding what their needs are while they are likewise getting to know you and understanding your needs.

You can start these powerful relationships anywhere-at your kid's soccer game, on the commuter train, at the hairdresser's or at the doctor's office-so if you're reluctant to go to networking events, fear not there are lots of other ways to start the networking ball rolling.

If, however, you do chose to include networking functions in your networking plan, please do yourself a favor and make sure you do everything you possibly can to optimize the experience.

That means, among other things:

* Attending functions where members of your target market (or those who have access to them) will be.

* Crafting a self-introduction that will grab people's attention and have them practically begging for you to tell them more.

* Knowing in advance exactly whom you want to meet and what you want to get out of the event.

* Having a follow-up plan to stay in touch with the people you meet and deepen the relationships you began at the event.

* Resisting the temptation to sell your product or services at the function.

* Having a list of open-ended questions in your head so you will never be at a loss for something to say.

These are only a few of the things that can help you get the most out of any networking event so you attract more clients than you ever imagined possible, easily and inexpensively. There are others, but the bottom line is this:

BOTTOM LINE: If you want to grow your business, step away from the computer and do what the great sales trainer, Floyd Wickman, has been preaching for years. He says the key to getting more customers and clients comes down to three simple letters: “STP: See The People…belly to belly.”

Leni Chauvin, The Client Attraction Coach, has been helping ordinary people build and market extraordinary businesses since 1993. If you want to attract more clients, make more money, and achieve more success, you'll find TONS of f.r.e.e resources to help you at http://www.AttractClientsGalore.com

East African Longer Stay Visas &amp Work permits

Kenya, Uganda &ampTanzania Visa extensions

Visas can be renewed at immigration offices during normal office hours, and extensions are usually issued on a same-day basis. Staff at the immigration offices is generally friendly and helpful, but the process takes a while. You will need two passport photos and Kshs 2200 for a three month extension. You also need to fill out a form registering as an alien if you?re going to be staying more than 90-days.

Immigration offices are only open Monday to Friday note that the smaller offices may sometimes refer travelers back to Nairobi or Mombasa for Visa extensions. Local immigration offices include the following:

Expatriate work permits- Getting work in Kenya

It?s difficult although by no means impossible to get jobs as a foreigner. The most likely areas in which employment might be found are in the safari business, teaching, advertising and journalism. Except for teaching, it?s unlikely you?ll see jobs advertised, and the only way you?ll find out about them is to spend a lot of time with resident expats. As in most countries, the rule is that if an African can be found to do the job, there?s no need to hire a foreigner.

The most fruitful area in which to look for work, assuming that you have the relevant skills, is the ?disaster industry?. Nairobi is awash with UN and other aid agencies servicing the famines in Somalia and southern Sudan and the refugee camps along the Kenyan border with those countries. Keep in mind that the work is tough and often dangerous, and pay is usually very low.

Work permits and resident visas are not easy to arrange. A prospective employer may be able to sort the necessary paperwork for you, but otherwise you?ll find yourself spending a lot of time and money at the immigration office Tel, 020-222022 Nyayo House cnr Kenyatta Ave./Uhuru Hwy ( see above)

Visas for Onward travel -Transit visas

Since Nairobi is a common gateway city to East Africa and the city centre is easy to get around, many travelers spend some time here picking up visas for other countries that they intend to visit. If you are going to do this you need to plan ahead of time and call the embassy to confirm the hours that visa applications are received(thee change frequently in Nairobi). Most embassies will want you to pay visa fees in US dollars.

Just because a country has an embassy or consulate here, it doesn?t necessarily mean you can get that country?s visa. The borders with Somalia and Sudan are both closed, so you?ll have to go to Addis Ababa in Ethiopia is you want a Sudanese visa, and Somali visas are unlikely to be available for the foreseen future.

For Ethiopia, Tanzania and Uganda, three-month visas are readily available in Nairobi and cost US$ 50 for most Nationalities. Two passport photos are required for applications and visa can usually be issued the same day.

Muay Thai boxing is a sport that has been around for thousands of years, and is still practiced today as a professional sport as well as a hobby. It is the national sport of Thailand, and is practiced by millions of Thai men. It is often compared to Thailand in the way that soccer is compared to Ecuador, or hockey to Canada.

If you've ever watched a match on television, you know that it is an extremely brutal sport. If you're interested in martial arts at all, it is important to become familiar with Muay Thai, since it is a very popular form. Here are some of the basics of the sport.

A Muay Thai match focuses as much on ceremony as it does on beating the spit out of the opponent. Before each match, the two fighters do their opening rituals, which usually reflect the training of their masters, or the schools at which they learned their fighting technique.

Since Muay Thai is often a deeply religious sport, some of the fighers will pray by themselves or with their coaches before getting started, in an effort to increase their ability. Next is the Wai Kru ritual, in which the fighters circle each other around the ring, which signifies sealing it off for the fight.

Muay Thai focuses on 8 parts of the body that act as striking points. These are the hands, shins, elbows and knees. Most martial arts use fists and feet primarily, so this alone sets Muay Thai apart. You often see the fighters grapple immediately, locking their heads with each other. Then, they trade blows with their knees, striking each other in the stomach and chest. Sometimes they will trade blows for the entire match, leaving their chests bloody and tender, beaten to a pulp.

Besides keeping the entire Thai world captivated with matches and tournaments, Muay boxing has also provided a good deal of entertainment for the western world. Many matches are broadcasted on channels in the USA, and the movies Ong Bak and The Protector have brought about even more heightened interest in the sport, with the Muay Thai master Tony Jaa.

Like most martial arts, you can find training almost anywhere. But if you want to truly learn the sport and become the next great Muay Thai fighter, you might need to go to Thailand and find an authentic trainer to teach you the fine art!

Find Muay thai boxing equipment at Discount martial arts supplies.

There are over 45,000 online job search sites. The sheer scope of coverage is overwhelming, from the local jobs level to the regional jobs level, all the way to the USA jobs level, you can work full time for months and not search them all.

The secret to a good online job search is to narrow the selection down to the best ones, particularly for non-executive positions. As a hiring manager, this is the order in which I'll post jobs online - it's therefore the order in which you should spend your online job search time:

  • The Company Web Site
  • Newspaper Online Help Wanted Ads
  • Online Job Posting Sites

As a hiring manager, I've asked my Human Resources Department to use many of the large, well known online job sites and I know they can deliver a large number of qualified applicants quickly. So naturally, as a job seeker you should be certain to include these in your online job search, as well as post your resume at a select few.

One thing to bear in mind is that you're going to find a certain amount of redundancy in the jobs you'll find online. Many of the job sites use the same job search engines and thus you'll come across the same job on more than one site. This is simply part of conducting an online job search and one reason why it's so necessary to be organized and keep good records on the jobs for which you've applied.

Remember: as a hiring manager, I will usually disregard applicants that apply twice. If you can't keep track of jobs you apply for, how will you keep track of your work if I hire you? Yep, we hiring managers are tough!

A Word About Web Site Traffic Rankings for Online Job Sites

There are approximately 56 Million active sites on the Web. In order to make your online job search as efficient as possible, you should use the job search sites with the most traffic, as measured by the Alexa-certified Traffic Ranking (if you download the Alexa toolbar from their site, it will show the ranking of every site you visit). This number represents where each site ranks in traffic, out of all those 56 million sites.

The lower the Alexa rating number, the more popular the site. For example, an Alexa rating of 10 means that site is the tenth most visited site on the web. So, a site that ranks at 560,000 (or lower) is in the Top 1% of all sites.

Many of the online job sites will have an Alexa ranking in the millions, which means they are not getting any appreciable traffic. You want to focus your online job search on job sites that rank at least in the top 1% or better. The lower the Alexa rating number, the more popular the site. The ones with the most traffic, of course, will likely have the most job postings. An Alexa rating of 10,000 or lower is particularly outstanding and means that site is getting serious traffic.

Good luck with you job search, whether online or offline!

The United States of America is the best country in the world as far as health care is concerned. Public and private health care is extremely advanced and no other system in the world can actually touch it in terms of innovation, effectiveness and general care. It is no wonder then that medical professionals get paid more here than elsewhere. However, that is not to say that there are no temporary nursing jobs available.

The demand for nursing is extremely high and there are never enough nurses to fulfil the demand. The immigration service has allowed for this and nurses arrive in the United States from all over the world on the strength of their profession. That is still not fulfilling demand though. More doctors, nurses and health care assistants are needed and the numbers are increasing every year. This leaves the door well and truly open to those trying to get a temporary nursing job via an agency.

There are plenty of temporary nursing jobs out there. A suitable candidate may not even have to take that much time and effort in trying to find them. They are pretty much available at every health care institution in the United States today. Temporary nursing jobs are just the same as permanent jobs, the only difference being that the former is on a fixed term contract instead of an indefinite one. With this in mind, you should know whether a temporary nursing job would suit you or not.

Temping agencies often actively search for qualified nurses to fill the allocated temporary nursing jobs available because not enough nurses actually go to them and enquire. Health care is big business so the temporary nursing job contracts mean a lot to them. Most contracts will last up to two years, and very few are only for a few months. As a result, this often leads to a number of permanent positions. Of course this applies in hospitals but is not limited to them. Nursing homes, hospices and clinics are just a few medical centres that are short staffed and in need of people to fill temporary nursing jobs.

Some qualified nurses that already work at a hospital seek a temporary nursing job via an agency for part time work in a nursing home to earn a little extra cash. Other qualified nurses that want a change may choose a travel nurse job instead. Travel nurses move around the country to help people from various walks of life, which adds a little excitement and adventure to it. A temporary nursing job like that can renew a nurse?s faith in her profession, which is never a bad thing.

You can find a temporary nurse job by signing up with a specialist agency and thus taking advantage of good benefits, or by looking on the Internet. There is never a shortage of medical centres advertising so make the most of all opportunities and take your pick. I guarantee that you will find a temporary nursing job suitable for you, whatever your requirements.
